Pony Express station, moved from trail to this city park. Tour guide said that the folks who started the Pony Express invested $500,000, an astronomical amount at the time. They lost it all when the telegraph started 18 mos- 2 years later. Mailed my letters here in the leather pouch.( USPS picks up each day at 9am)
