June 15, Bobbi sent Lee off to Kearney with the RV and she set off in search of the Holy Grail of the Oregon Trail- wagon ruts. Generally the Mormons stayed on the north side of the Platte and the others stayed on the south side, but here at Wood River they were forced to cross at the same point. Wagon ruts that were 3-4 inches in 1840 are 3-6 feet from erosion now.
