Omaha, NE

This is the statue in the cemetery behind the Mormon Trail Center. The town reached from the river all they way up this hill. The drive up is literally straight up. They buried their dead here, and sadly 600 died before they left for the Salt Lake in the Spring. There are virtually no markers, because they left none, but their names are all known, and some are on a plaque at the base of this statue.
