Ike signed the Interstate Hwy Act in 1956, hard to believe all of these highways have been built since 1956, which isn't that long ago to me!! Also, the roads in Aurora town square were brick, as were some in Kearney. I wonder if they were part of the original 1 mile sections that towns were asked to build, some of them were brick.
