Independence Rock, June 21, 2006

Here it is- the premier landmark on the Oregon Trail. Called Independence Rock, because if you weren't there by July 4th, you were in trouble. The pioneers all wrote their names on the rock, but by 2006, all the names were gone except the ones added in 1945.
