Three Island Crossing, Idaho. More ruts!! That big line down the middle is the path the pioneers took down to the crossing. This was the largest river crossing on the Trail, and most of them could not swim. They used the 3 islands to cut down on the water exposure, and sometimes the Indians would guide them over.
