Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, Pincher Creek, Canada, July 20, 2006

I don't know who does the marketing for this place, but Head Smashed In is not a great name. Bobbi had to bribe Lee and Judy to go, and it turned out to be very interesting. The tour was led by a Native American- who was obviously a Canadian. The 'Indians' started miles to the left on the display board, luring the buffalo to this spot, where they went over the edge to their deaths. You say it does not look like much of a plunge? That's because the bottom is full of dead buffalo bones. The view was spectacular- you could see for miles.
