Enroute to Bakersfield, CA Oct.1, 2006
If you've eaten a grape, or a raisin or had wine, chances are, it came from here- acres and acres and acres . The vines grow over the row and mesh into a giant mat. Best I can figure, the Cesar Chavez's grape pickers, must crawl along rows. They are not individual vinyards, like they are in the mountains near Placerville, but huge, massive miles of vinyards.
