Johnson Lake July 16, 2006

This is the teendage section of the Lake! This is just up from the other beach, lake side, but about 20 minutes through the path in the woods. Two Rangers were on their way out there with their citation book, when we were on our way back. Isn't it amazing how our 2 cultures, American and Canadian, north and south, can be so universal with underage drinking???? Posted by Picasa

An Aspen grove on the trail around the lake. See the marks left by the elk/deer/moose who have rubbed their antlers on the trunks? Posted by Picasa

Johnson Lake, July 16, 2006

This hard day's/night's work for a beaver has obvious beaver teeth marks, but it was pretty far away from the water??? So you think he got half way through, looked up and said, oops what was I thinking?? Posted by Picasa

Canadian Highway #1, July 15, 2006

Here is one of the 2 overpasses built for the wildlife on Canada #1. Fences along the road funnel animals to the overpass. Not sure what happens if a whole bunch end up there at the same time. They have cameras up there to see if the animals are using it, and they are. The underpasses have sand/clay, so they can see the tracks of animals using it. Posted by Picasa

Canadian Rockies July 15, 2006

The Canadian Rockies from the car on Canadian #1. Canada has built over and under passes for the wildlife all along this highway. Posted by Picasa
