Bisbee 2-16-07

This is the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Bisbee. The sign in the yard says"Humanitarian Aid is Never a Crime" This church is famous for its support of refugees from Central America during the wars there , who fled to US to escape the death squads. During my trip to El Salvador in 1994 to visit our sister parish, we met folks back in El Salvador after the war, whose lives had been saved by the refuge they had been offered by churches in the US.
