Sequoyah, also known as Charles Gist was born in the late 1700s. His statue in the Capitol
celebrates his creation of the Cherokee alphabet. Strangely, he is also celebrated in the Oklahoma State House.

We are from Lutherville, MD, a suburb of Baltimore, and we have both lived there all of our lives. In 2006 we took off in our RV for 2 years on the road. Those adventures can be found in BobbiandLeeRV. We landed in Palm Creek, sold our RV and spend our winters here.
