Here's one for the Crook cousins. General Crook was apparently a good guy. He testified for Chief Something Bear, that he should be allowed to return to his land for burial, instead of whatever reservation he had been sent to. This was a big deal, because it was the first time Indians were given standing in court. I don't know what the Indians say about him, but the folks in Omaha think he is sliced bread.Turns out his house was part of a big deal garden pilgrimage that day.
