Jann Jackson Retirement, Baltimore, Nov. 8, 2006

Jann Jackson's farewell remarks at her retirement dinner at Overhills Mansion, November 8, 2006. Jann has done a fabulous job as Executive Director of Advocates for Children and Youth for the last decade. She will be greatly missed. Her leadership was instrumental to most of the gains made for children recently. The education funding from Thornton, the children's health insurance and all of the reforms in juvenile justice and child abuse would not have been possible without her. She made a real differnce in the lives of Maryland children, and they will miss her. Retirement is great Jann- you'll love it! Posted by Picasa

Election Night Baltimore November 7, 2006

He came in first Election night and 2nd out of 3 winners after absentee ballots. Its is so good to be a winner!!! Posted by Picasa

Casa Grande, AZ October 31, 2006

The Seabolts have become Arizona Property Owners!!! We have rented an annual site at Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa Grande, AZ. Casa Grande is between Phoenix and Tucson, just below the Gila Bend Indian Reservation. Palm Creek has 1700+ sites, 5 or 6 activity buildings with a sewing, silversmith, stained glass, ball or billiard room, 2 pools, a big hot tub, and an 18 hole golf course. They plays cards almost every night, and there are golf courses all over the place. Lee is a Happy Camper. We purchased this shed (8' x 15'), a hedge, 2 bikes, paved patio, an oleander hedge, lots of plants and other stuff from the previous owners, so now Site 288 is ours. It's kinda like a Baltimore Ground Rent. This gives us a safe place to leave the RV and car on the West Coast, and a place to leave stuff when we leave for trips out West. Posted by Picasa

Nogales, AZ, October 21, 2006

My cousin Neil's front yard- looking out onto Vista del Cielo, her street. Her front, back and side yards are typical AZ gravel, making her whole yard one big patio. This view is to the north and US, the other side, which is actually the front, looks to Mexico with views of the "fence." Posted by Picasa

Near Patagonia, AZ October 21, 2006

Anyone interested in a gorgeous 36 acre ranch near Patagonia? Neil also showed us a foreclosure 'hacienda' with a 2 level swimming pool/spa, bath house, 5 acres, horse barn, gorgeous house with stone floors, fireplaces, etc for $600,000. We had to pass, but, as her sign says "its the lifestyle", and the lifestyle is good!! Posted by Picasa

Patagonia, AZ, October 21, 2006

Summit Realty's first Patagonia office, next door to the previous pix. Jeff writes his contracts here on this porch, or inside on the off chance that the sun isn't out! The building next door gives them sidewalk frontage, since this house has a nice big front yard. Eva, Summits's newest Sales Associate, sold her art/crafts/artifacts from the building previously, and now they sell art and houses- the perfect combination. Posted by Picasa

Patagonia, AZ, October 21, 2006

Jeff is getting ready to install this gorgeous old Spanish door in the Summit Realty sales office, that he and Eva, Summit Sales Associate, just found. Jeff inherited all of those handy skills from Bobbi's Daddy, Uncle Hank. Door installation is just one of the tasks in the Summit Realty Broker job description. Posted by Picasa

Patagonia, AZ October 21, 2006

Here is Arizona's best little town- Patagonia- the right side of the street. The tree on the left is part of a huge park -like strip that runs down the middle of Main Street. It used to be where the train tracks ran. Posted by Picasa

Nogales, AZ October 21, 2006

Lest you think Nogales is just a poor border town- it is the produce capital of the World(??), and all of the folks who import the lettuce and tomatoes from Mexico, have done well. Luckily, they are Democrats- see the campaign sign. (Janet Napolitano is a Dem running for Gov- she won.) Posted by Picasa

Nogales, AZ October 21, 2006

The fence is in the top left of the pix, rolling over the hill, but the big tower is the real story. These 'big brothers' are everywhere and are tracking everything that moves. Posted by Picasa

Nogales, AZ, October 21, 2006

Here's the US/Mexico border in the town of Nogales. See the fence running up and down the hills-dark brown line. Hard to believe that a couple of feet can make such a huge difference is someone's life??? Posted by Picasa

Nogales. AZ, October 21, 2006

Downtown Nogales, USA. Here's another famous Bobbi shot from the front seat of the car. Here's some insight to the US immigration issues. Nogales, AZ and Nogales Mexico, kinda run together. We are on a side street in downtown Nogales,US, just up from the Courthouse. There is a big gully in the middle of town. See the top of the utility pole, just below the one way sign? There is a road and industrial area down there. Just above the one way sign is an evergreen tree and just to the right of that is a fence- the US/Mexico border in the middle of town. Remember, if you double click on the pix, it gets bigger. Posted by Picasa

Nogales, AZ, October 22, 2006

My cousin Neil and her husband Dick Bloomfield at their home on Vista Del Cielo, Nogales. Neil and Dick ran Summit Realty on Mt Lemmon in Tucson for years, until the forest fire wiped out their house, their cars, their office, their business, and made our Neil, in her own words, "the best dressed homeless woman in AZ" since we all cleaned out our closets for her. Here she is a few years later in her new beautiful home, Summit Realty is thriving in Nogales/Patagonia, and once again our girl landed on her feet and made lemonade out of lemons!! She's the best! Posted by Picasa
